Ok, So Lauras wee brother and sister got a Nintendo Wii about five months ago. Now me being a Sega baby, still having a sega mega drive hooked up to my 40inch plazma I have never been keen on anything Nintendo. Except possibly mario kart which of course was an absolute classic and rivals that card game "snap" for competitiveness!
Any way back to the WII. Tony and Jane got the WII about 5 months ago and me an Laura arrived down to play it. Unbelievable. I know its very grown up but the benefits of the new system are what struck me immediately. Having been beaten twice in a virtual boxing match I stood sweating and panting. the most fun work out ive had for yrs!!
Ok so to make a long story short lauras on my back to buy the Wii for our apartment and replace my Sega Mega Drive with the brill streets of rage. So i finally give in purchasing one from Smyths toy stores for £300. Love it!! haha its so much fun. loving every minute of it!!
Next thing i went about was to find some video's and tv programs. I didnt actually realise that i could use it as a home entertainment system but doing a bit of googling looking for games I came across a few download sites. Most were a bit steep - or clearly illegal or scams - you know the real crapy looking sites Im talking about. anyway I came across a real gem www.wiimediaonline.com Ok so it is $50 to sign up(about £20) but its been brill and theres none of this hidden charging oops that'll be an extre tenner nonsense,, ive downloaded about £1000 worth of films. Im a little bit sketchy as to how they can do this but its really good - its saving me a fortune. I used to have a similar site for my iPod but this started charging per download - if anyone knows a similar site for iPods let me no.
Anyway Im loving my new Wii and the movies and music. Laura uses it for work outs and then gives me a kicking in the boxing!
